Thoughtly raises $8M+ to build omnichannel agents for revenue teams

NEW YORK, April 22, 2026 — Thoughtly, the AI engagement platform to give CRMs a voice, today announced a $5.5 million Seed round, bringing total funding to $8+ million. The round was led by Armory Square Ventures, with participation from nvp capital, Converge, K5 Global Tokyo Black, and returning investors Afore Capital and Greycroft.
The announcement coincides with the launch of Thoughtly's omnichannel platform, which expands beyond voice to include SMS and email — allowing revenue teams to reach every lead, on every channel, from a single CRM-native system.
Every lead. Every channel. All the time.Â
Most revenue teams can only human-touch a fraction of their pipeline. The rest go cold. Email and SMS drip campaigns underperform. And while teams have automated data workflows and digital channels, phone conversations have remained largely manual — creating coverage gaps, slower response times, and missed revenue.
Thoughtly closes that gap. By embedding AI agents directly into CRM workflows, the platform enables Revenue teams to call, qualify, and route leads through real conversations automatically — with no engineering lift and no call center infrastructure required.
"CRMs were never designed to talk, but revenue still happens in conversations," said Torrey Leonard, Co-Founder and CEO of Thoughtly. "Thoughtly gives revenue teams a new layer of infrastructure. AI agents operate directly inside the CRM, engage prospects naturally, and move deals forward automatically. This funding allows us to continue building toward a system of record for conversational GTM."
Expanding to Omnichannel
With this release, teams can design and launch workflows that coordinate voice, SMS, and email based on CRM data and customer behavior — using a no-code builder to create and update campaigns in real time, control tone and messaging, and test use cases in a sandbox before deploying.
Real Revenue Impact
Customers across Education, Insurance, Mortgage, and Real Estate are using Thoughtly to reach 100% of their pipeline — a dramatic improvement over the industry norm of 5–10%.
Nomad, a national rental management platform, booked 650 meetings in 90 days, increased close rates on lower-score leads from 16% to 38%, and saved $400,000 in annual headcount costs — with an agent deployed within one week of signing. Nomad now runs 500–700 outbound calls per week and is expanding Thoughtly to handle its leasing support line, which processes over 13,000 monthly calls. "Speed-to-lead is the real game changer in sales. With Thoughtly, we're calling leads within 60 seconds of form submission. That's just not possible with a human team," said Will O'Neil, Head of IT & People at Nomad
2U, a global education technology company, expanded inbound and outbound coverage, with AI handling 23% of inbound calls in early pilots and achieving 20x cost efficiency compared to human-only outreach.
Podium Education — which partners with 100+ universities including ASU, Harvard, Georgetown, and UT Austin — deployed Thoughtly to reach every lead in their enrollment and student success pipeline. The result: 100% lead coverage for the first time, more than 5,000 support calls completed, and roughly 1 to 1.5 hours saved per coach per week. "For the first time, we were able to call every single one of our opportunities," said Eric Mackintosh, VP of Academic Operations at Podium Education.
Built for Revenue Teams
Unlike legacy CCaaS platforms, IVRs, or developer-focused voice APIs, Thoughtly is built for revenue teams — CMOs, CROs, and RevOps leaders who want to deploy AI campaigns in days, not months, without an engineering team in the room. Its no-code platform maintains enterprise-grade security, analytics, and full CRM integration.
“nvp capital backs founders who are building where legacy workflows aren't keeping up. Torrey recognized that CRMs became the system of record for data but never for conversations — the place where deals are actually won and lost. That's a billion-dollar blind spot, and Thoughtly is the infrastructure play to close it." — Dan Borok, Managing Partner, nvp capital
"We've been actively exploring Voice AI applications across our portfolio for some time, and Thoughtly's ability to accelerate GTM in the industries we've backed is unparalleled. We've been impressed by Torrey, Alex, and the entire team, and we're excited to support them in becoming the market leader in conversational GTM." — Somak Chattopadhyay, Managing Partner, Armory Square Ventures
